FIRE – Friends for Immigrant Rights & Equity

In the spring of 2025, San Francisco Friends Meeting sought to bring concerned members and attenders together to focus on care for the immigrants who are our neighbors and friends. A subcommittee of the Meeting’s Peace & Social Concerns committee resulted: Friends for Immigrant Rights & Equity (FIRE).

FIRE has engaged in various actions since then, some in concert with other Quaker organizations such as the American Friends Service Committee and the North Star Network. Rather than summarizing what we’ve already done, we think it best to direct you to a living document that lists (and links) lots of future opportunities to express care and support for both individuals and the immigrant community.

You don’t have to be a Quaker or want to be a Quaker to join us!
